When I was only 8 months old, my father passed away while serving in the military. His death was a devastating loss for me and my family. Despite this tragedy, I received the Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits, which allowed me to attend school and pursue my dream of becoming a graphic designer.

Ever since I was a little girl, I've been fascinated by the world of art and creativity. I would spend hours creating digital designs, honing my skills in graphic design. At the age of 12, I started designing business cards for my family's businesses. I remember how surprised and proud my family was of my designs.

As I grew older, my passion for art turned into an admiration for graphic design—a field that combines art and technology to create powerful images and communicate ideas. However, while attending Valencia High School, I had to leave because other students were bullying me due to a fractured foot. This experience was very difficult for me, making me feel alone and vulnerable.

However, I decided not to let that situation defeat me. At the age of 16, I chose to continue my education at home. I enrolled in James Madison High School, and although some people made fun of me for this decision, I didn't let it affect me. I focused on my education and pursuing my dream of becoming a graphic designer. My dedication and hard work paid off. On May 23rd, at 16 years old, I graduated high school in just 3 months. I was filled with pride and emotion for having achieved this goal. Now I was ready to follow my dream and continue my education at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. I was excited about the opportunity to study at a university dedicated to art and design.

Now, I am 17 years old, and I'll soon turn 18 on September 17th of this year. I'm thrilled about the experiences and opportunities that await me in this new chapter of my life. I feel that I have grown a lot as a person and as an artist since I started my journey in the world of graphic design. As I prepare to celebrate my birthday and my transition to adulthood, I am also getting ready to begin my university education at the Academy of Art University. I am eager to learn more about graphic design and to meet other artists and designers who share my passion. I know I will face new challenges and experiences, but I am ready to embrace them with enthusiasm and determination.
